A true labor of love. For vibrancy, I apply four to six layers of underglaze on each blob to create this pattern.

This is a “second!” Seconds are discounted pieces that either have minor cosmetic flaws or just don’t meet my design standards. Sometimes I’ll throw something in the Seconds section if it’s been sitting on my shelf for too long — I need to clear space for new creations. This pot is a second for two reasons. For one, the glaze on the rim got a little patchy. The design was also an experiment. While the end result is totally functional, it doesn’t quite meet my design standards. I’d rather see it go to a new home vs. landfill!
