Small Marbled Porcelain Planter - Striking Sunrise

Wheel-thrown planter made from porcelain clay

The mesmerizing color comes from the clay, not the glaze. The marbled effect is made by hand-tinting small batches of porcelain with different colors of mason stain, and then twisting those colors together as I throw the clay on the pottery wheel.

Has a clear glaze finish on the inside. The outside is matte and unglazed with a buttery texture that’s smooth to the touch.
